History
In May 1999, GTFP (a joint venture of Weyerhaeuser Australia and Global Forest Partners LP) acquired CSR's plantations, sawmilling and remanufacturing business in the Green Triangle.
On 28th July 2008 Global Forest Partners LP investors secured 100% ownership of the plantations and the manufacturing assets were sold to Carter Holt Harvey Wood Products Australia.
Our Forest
GTFP plantations are spread throughout the Green Triangle region in six main areas, Tarpeena, Cafpirco, Kongorong, Caroline, Kentbruck and Dartmoor with a net plantation area 22,000Ha.
Global Forest Partners LP
GFP, a registered investment advisor with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, currently manages a globally diverse USD2.7 billion portfolio of closed-end commingled and separate account timberfunds on behalf of institutional and other qualified investors. In addition to Green Triangle Forest Products, GFP, on behalf of investor clients, acquired and manages three other forestry investments in Australia:
- Hume Forests Limited, 14,000 hectare Radiata Pine estate in the Tumut, Tumbarumba and Oberon areas of NSW
- Murray River Forests Pty Ltd, 6,500 hectare Radiata Pine estate in the Tumbarumba/Albury region of NSW
- Australian Bluegum Plantations Pty Ltd, 92,000 hectare Eucalyptus Globulus estate in the Green Triangle region and south west WA
